The newest 4th Street game is now here! 4th Street Hockey pits your ability to maximize your team's talents to win games. Simple symbols, such as "▲" and "◆" are used to direct the action on the ice, while other symbols such as "②" help identify the players involved in play. Six different dice help to direct traffic and find results in a logical manner. The Version 2 basic instruction manual explains more about how to play the game. (Changes from version 1 have been outlined in red.) See more notes below about Version 2 and how it compares to Version 1. Download a sample copy of the game and try it out! When you're ready, you might want to check out the more advanced rules! Each player is printed on cardstock with the same dimensions as a bubble gum card, and are bound together in a perforated book. If you prefer larger cards, our new "cut-line" sheets measure 3.5" x 4.25", and are not perforated.

4th Street has created a random number generator for 4th Street Hockey. Don't like rolling dice? Have trouble keeping track of time in the game? Try it out! After clicking the "Hockey" link on the page, choose Page Preview from the File menu (Internet Explorer) and change the settings to Landscape. The generator constructs all 6 dice rolls in five columns (representing 12 second increments) by 20 rows (representing 20 minutes of game-time), with additional rolls at the bottom for shot attempts, etc. Contributor Tom Milne has created "Hockey Game Clock", a simple PC program which keeps track of time and penalties. Download, unzip, and run the setup program. Contributor Kirk Pfan has created "Hockey Line & Fatigue" sheets; an advanced method of line-tracking. Read the instructions. The "Pfan Files" are some other creations by Kirk, including a log-style score sheet and some neat devices designed for both solo and face-to-face play. Six files are included in a zipped file, all in PDF format. Contributor Dr. Tom Cline has created a new score sheet. Tom has also created a one-page summary of the rules. John has created an alternate timing sheet, which makes line usage easier and more effective. "Xtra Players" are those who played during a season, but did not attain enough games played to be included in the regular set. These players were updated to the version 2 format on 7/22/2009.
OR you can order the player ratings printed on the same perforated card stock used for the regular player ratings below for just $9.95 a season: Playoff Xtra Players "Playoff Xtra Players" are guys who didn't play much during the regular season, but saw significant playing time during the playoffs. These files are also in PDF format. Version 2 of the game includes two new ratings; "PH" (physical) and "TG" (intangibles), which add even more strategy to the game! The passing system has been changed to provide more flexibility with player usage and more statistical control over who handles the puck.
