I own both your PC Football game, and your table top baseball game.  Your football game ended a more than 10 year search for a PC football game that had all of the attributes I was looking for -- in fact it had MORE than I was looking for in game play.  This is probably the best game ever made for draft leagues because this is the first game (board or computer) that I have ever seen that it can really make sense to spend a first round draft pick on a great defensive player.  Because the individual play is modeled so realistically I can almost actually see a great lineman or linebacker
stuffing a runner, or a great OL making a key block to spring a runner.  And woe to the poor RB or QB stuck behind an inferior line.  The play calling, the formations, the matchups, this is the game by which all others should be measured.

Absolutely fantastic!  The best football game I've ever played (including some very good ones---SOM, APBA, Second Season, Replay, SI, Statis Pro, and T.H.E.)...The matchups feel like a real game.  I can almost see the play unfold...halfback counter to the left....the defensive middle zone (Butkus) is matched up against my halfback, and Butkus is strong against the inside run.  Butkus wins the contest....the runner is drilled for a 2 yard loss and potential injury.  Ouch!  Real football--real results.  This is the only game I know that may decide the result of a long pass on the basis of a defensive end vs. an offensive tackle.  If the offensive line makes the block, the pass goes for good yardage; otherwise, it could be a sack or a knocked-down pass.  There's not much left to chance here.

...as a fanatic for detail I LOVE 4th Street! It gives you more the feel of an actual coach or GM. You are making SPECIFIC calls from SPECIFIC formations looking for that ideal match up...which is the meat of real football! Also, NO other game (sorry I have to include Second Season here) truly measures the impact of a great defensive player like a Ray Lewis. In 4th Street, he dominates like in real life.

I just wanted to say that I absolutely love this game.  I've been playing Strat-O-Matic football for about 25 years, and I always thought it was one of the best sports board games around.  But your game blows Strato away in many respects.  The detail of your game (all the way down to the special teams) is unbeatable, yet it is also very playable.  And what I found most impressive is that I've always believed that football is a game that's won and lost in the trenches, and no other board game that I've ever seen comes close to capturing this the way that your game does.

“GREAT JOB!  This is a GREAT GAME!  It blends so many great concepts.  It is a game that is sophisticated beyond most football games but also is playable.  And I love the realism in ratings!  Players are not just lumped into general grades.  It makes a real difference in not only having a good lineman but actually HOW he blocks.  How you need a good pass protection tackle AND a top run blocker.  A player may well fit in well with one team but not so well with another.  And THAT, my friend, is how football REALLY works!  You did a great job in catching that.  And this game can be played with ANY league structure in mind.  A small league doesn’t work well in most games, as they are ultimately decided by the skill player’s cards.  Yours is less so and those players have to match up against a premier defender who can “bring them down to earth”.  Similarly, a league of lesser lights can also work better.”

“First off, I simply like this game and I like it very much.  I think the game engine allows for great detail while maintaining a simplicity not found in some other sims that entail play-calling and strategy.  The player ratings seem dead-on in terms of accuracy and there is a variety in the results that will always keep it interesting.  I also relish the idea of having tangible plays that must be called and defenses which must be maneuvered…By all means, let me know when the game becomes available for purchase and I will do so straight away.”

“The game over all is very good.  The individual plays to run are a plus for head to head play, but probably detracts from solitary play a bit (for some)…I wish you and your game much success.  I look forward to getting my hands on the finished product.”

“I really like the way the players results are determined and the way they interact…it would really shine (as a face-to-face game) especially with all the possible formations, player placements, and play calls…How you bring every player into the game is outstanding.”

“To be honest, I like the setup.  I like the detail, especially in terms of attacking certain areas of the field, and different individual player matchups affecting the result from play to play.  I don’t know what other people have indicated, but I also like the elimination of the “pass” or “run” call by the defense.  The defense is based on 3 things: talent, placement, and any “options” (i.e. keying/double-teaming).  Overall, the game rules are easy to pick up; after about 15 plays, I had it pretty much down…All in all, I enjoyed the game!”
