A second consecutive Super Bowl championship for Miami, this season saw dominating performances across the league, and the beginnings of a battle with the World Football League for prospective free agents and rookies.

bullet9 Passers post 80+ passer ratings, led by Roger Staubach of Dallas
bulletRoman Gabriel attempted 460 passes for Philadelphia, nearly a hundred more than his next closest competitor, and led the league in passing yardage by nearly 700 yards
bulletOJ rushes for an unbelievable 2003 yards, becoming the first running back in history to achieve this landmark.  Making the accomplishment even more impressive is the fact that Buffalo only attempted 213 passes during the season (~15 per game), meaning that he faced 8 and 9-man fronts constantly!
